Medical law expert Melissa Gardner has helped patients and families in need of legal support for more than a decade.
As a member of the Law Society’s Clinical Negligence Panel, Melissa has dealt successfully with the full range of medical negligence cases including those involving cerebral palsy, loss of vision, gentamicin toxicity, and delays in treating cancer.
Melissa’s main focus now is helping people who have been affected by the most serious preventable injuries enabling them to claim compensation so that they can cope in the future.
Many of the cases Melissa has handled for patients have included challenging significant failures that have led to life changing injuries and long-term disabilities. She is currently acting on behalf of a number of children who have suffered brain injuries around the time of birth. One of Melissa’s most recent successful cases involved a newborn baby who developed preventable brain damage linked to poor jaundice care.
Melissa is currently working on behalf of patients nationwide who want to take action over their injuries, rebuild their lives and prevent the same thing from happening to anyone else.
